SOPHIE STOCKMAL (nee MICKOSKI)

May 22, 1923 - November 8, 2020

Sophie passed away peacefully at Holy Family Home.

Sophie was predeceased by her husband, Frank, her parents, Eva and Philip, brothers, Myron, John, William, Robert, and Nicholas, sisters, Olga, and Irene and nephews, Philip and Marty. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her numerous nieces and nephews. She will also be fondly remembered by her close friends and neighbours.

Sophie was employed with The College of Physicians and Surgeons and with the Manitoba Telephone System. She was a lifelong member of the ladies auxiliary at St. Mary the Protectress Ukrainian Orthodox Church.

Sophie loved to venture out by bus often going downtown to the library, the theatre and to shop. She loved fashion and kept a beautiful home and garden and welcomed everyone. She was an avid golfer with the Kildonan Park ladies league, and she also enjoyed bowling on leagues at Northgate Lanes.

She loved adventures, including summer trips to Clear Lake, winter trips to Hawaii and Jamaica, as well as cross border shopping trips.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

As a token of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
